Disaster Recovery
In a post last week, I broke down why it's so important for every business to have a disaster recovery plan in place. That being said, recent events here in the US have once again called to attention how crucial the matter is. Hurricane Gustav blew through Southern Louisiana on Labor Day, and thankfully the damage wasn't as extensive as that of Hurricane Katrina.
Even still, as citizens and business owners of New Orleans and other cities and villages in the state return home and to work - a large majority will remain without power for at least the next few days. Some businesses are structured to handle being closed for a week at a time . . . but the vast majority of them are not. A disaster recovery plan from someone like GRM is the perfect solution to a problem like this. Any business covered that utilizes a system like eVault would have access to all their crucial documents from a remote location. A hurricane is certainly a rare occasion, but a power outage on a small scale can occur at any place or time. Is your business ready?
